Melissa is currently a brand designer at Obviouslee Marketing, where she creates logos and brand guidelines, making sure everything looks consistent across all platforms. She also designs visuals for presentations, packaging, POP materials, and digital platforms like social media, Meta Ads, and Google Ads.
Before this, she worked as a Graphic Design Coordinator at Post Digital Agency, helping her team with design issues, managing schedules, and finding creative solutions for brands. She mostly worked on the Stoli® RD and KAHKOW® accounts. As a freelance motion graphic designer at Grupo Diseño República, she handled both English and Spanish accounts, including Starbucks® Dominicana, Colgate®, and PedidosYa® for the Dominican Republic and Panama.
In 2016, Melissa got the chance to collaborate with Latin American musician Josean Log, animating his lyric videos and illustrating his EP covers. This led to more opportunities with artists like Juan Caly, Dany & Dary, and Azendeu. In 2020, she was selected to work on a project for Urban Outfitters® in collaboration with Where Are The Black Designers?, designing a gift card for the American Nurses Association.
A 2015 Summa Cum Laude graduate from Universidad APEC in the Dominican Republic with a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, Melissa moved to New York in 2020 to earn her M.F.A. in Animation at NYIT, where she created a 2D animation for both kids and adults as her thesis project.
Now living in Brooklyn with her husband, she enjoys pottery, making accessories, and is always on top of her skincare routine.
